For this tag game, coloured popsicle sticks are required. Divide the group of students/people into teams based on the number of colours of popsicle sticks you have (ex. 4 colours = 4 teams). Hide the popsicle sticks in a grassy/wooded area so that the people playing the game must locate the popsicle sticks and bring them back to the instructor or leader. Once one team has brought back all of their coloured popsicle sticks that were hidden, the game ends. However, if a runner is tagged by a person on a different colour team, the runner must drop all their sticks, run to the teacher, complete a short activity challenge, then may return to the game. The popsicle sticks can be re-hidden once the game has finished and another round may begin.
